I made my way past the trees gazing across the stream. Her back towards me, the moon's light reflected off the water lighting her skin it emphasised her smooth skin.
Konan: "You going to just stand there or are you going to help wash my back?"
I smiled dropped my clock and removed my shirt, stepping into the water.
Y/N: "Whoo that's cold."
Konan: "Don't be a baby."
I splashed some water on her back and started to wash it.
Y/N: "You think it's a Jinchūriki?"
Konan: "No, but it must be something important if Nagato sent us."
Y/N: "And he didn't tell you what it was?"
Konan: "No, I think he only suspects but doesn't know for certain himself, he didn't specify."
Y/N: "Well that helps."
I stopped, at that instance, I wrapped my arms around her waist resting my head on her shoulder pressing my body against her soft cool skin whispering to her.

Y/N: "Divide and conquer?"

I gave her a kiss on the cheek, we made out way out of the water placed on our dry clothes then bolted in opposite directions. The enemy chased after us, I darted into the thick brush drawing out 3 of them, they threw a few kunai which I easily deflected. One of them knocked me down with a fire whip when poof a log instead burnet up
Rogue 1: "A substitution Jutsu?"
I jumped out of some bushes next to him hitting him in the face knocking num 1 away, num 2 weaved some hand signs.
Rouge 2: "Water stile, water jet jutsu."
A sharp jet of water shot from his hand cutting into me when poof.
Rouge 3: "Dame, shadow clone."
I dropped from a tree above slamming my hands on the ground. Vines sprouted from the earth wrapping up two of the rouges. The third saw what was coming and dodged out the way weaving hand signs.
Rouge 3: "Earth style, earth prison."
Slates of earth encased my body entrapping me. The guy strutted towards me.
Rouge 3: "Ha got you."
Y/N: "Did you now?"
Thick strong vines broke through the dirt encircling the slates crushing them. The rouge jumped back but it was too late. Another vine was already behind him clutching him in its grasps.
Rouge 3: "What the hell? You were just playing with us."
Y/N: "I was curious to see what sort of fight you had, very disappointed though. And now that you have seen my kekkei genkai I can't allow you to go blabbering it out to others."
Rouge 1: "Just let us go, we swear we won't..."
Before he could finish his mouth was wrapped shut, the vines dragged all three of them into the earth. I walked back to our camp, brushing a low branch out of the way I ducked my head to see Konan sitting forward poking the fire with a stick, her back near a tree.
Konan: "You sure took your time."
Y/N: "Messed with them a bit, besides I had one extra."
Konan: "Is that your excuse now?"
Y/N: "Yeah yeah."
I walked over to the tree, leaned back against it my legs spread open. She leaned back laying the back of her head against my chest still playing with the fire. I moved my hands under her arms sliding them slowly from her armpits to her hands the material of her cloak passing under my fingers. I rested my hands under the palm of her hands then locked my fingers with hers.
Konan: "First light tomorrow, we need to get into that village find what is bothering Nagato and get out. The time to move is soon."
I buried my face into her neck responding with a hum.
Konan: "Are you ready for everything that is about to come?"
Y/N: "Yeah."
Konan: "You don't sound so sure."
Y/N: "Just tired 'yawn' just tired is all."
We stared at the flames flickering in comfortable silence.
Y/N: "I'd follow you into hell you know that."
Konan: "I know."
I rested the side of my face against hers.
Y/N: "I was nowhere, I was nothing, I lost my way then you found me brought me into the Akatsuki and gave me purpose, gave me a path to walk, one that was right next to you."
She let go of my one hand leaning her arm slightly over she placed her hand on my cheek stroking it with her thumb
Konan: "It's time we get some sleep, we have an early day tomorrow."
She got up, moved to a bush where we hid some of our stuff and pulled out a large beadroll, the previous village were sold out of the singles so we decided to get a large one to share. She set it up and laid it down, I got up to join her, she cuddled up to me laying her head on my chest. We drifted asleep getting what little rest we needed for tomorrow.
