Auditions

Peninsula Center Stage announces auditions for "Company," a contemporary romantic comedy, May 6, 2-5 p.m. and May 7, 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Fox Theater, 2215 Broadway, Redwood City. The cast includes six male and twelve female (ages 25-50) roles. Director Dennis Lickteig asks auditioners prepare one up-tempo and one Broadway ballad and to bring sheet music in your key. Gallery House, a member-owned and operated fine arts gallery, will jury work in all media submitted by artists who seek membership in the gallery, May 14. Kara, a non-profit group which offers emotional support services for people involved with life-threatening illness, death and grief, holds spring training of volunteer peer counselors beginning June 1. Bikeweek runs May 15-21 and features such activities as Bike to Schools Day, Bike to Health Club Day, the Business Challenge and Just-For-Fun Tours, culminating in the Silicon Valley Cycle Rally, May 20, starting at 8 a.m. at Mountain View City Hall Plaza. The Ginetta Sagan Fund provides rapid-response emergency funds for organizations working around the world to stop the torture and abuse of women and children.
