An Easy Thanksgiving Leftovers Recipe

An easy way to eat leftovers from Thanksgiving is to just make yourself a plate and heat it up. And repeat. But if you’re looking for a way to transform your leftovers try these Leftover Stuffing Cakes!

This leftover recipe will use up your leftover turkey gravy too. But I”m telling you, we love this recipe so much that we make it all year long, even if we don’t have leftover stuffing. In comes that famous boxed stuffing that we all grew up with…just make up a serving or two and form it into these stuffing cakes.

How Do You Make Leftover Stuffing Cakes?

If you’re using a stuffing like our Favorite Sausage Stuffing recipe that has larger pieces of bread and sausage, you can give it a pulse or two in your food processor to make the stuffing pieces smaller and more uniform.

But if you’re stuffing has that smaller “Stove Top” consistency, you’re good to go. Just add your leftover stuffing to a bowl along with an egg and a couple of tablespoons of whole milk or cream.

Your stuffing should already be perfectly seasoned, but if you want to add a little more salt and pepper you can add that if you’d like.

Form the mixture into cake similar to the size that you’d make a crab cake and refrigerate for at least an hour. You can do this up to over night but an hour will let them firm up so they don’t fall apart when you fry them.

Add a few tablespoons of butter to a skillet and cook the stuffing cakes until they’re crispy and warmed through.
