Autumn Essential Oil Blends, Food Recipes & Tips (1)By Caryn Gehlmann

How are you adjusting to the fall season this year? For many of us, there is a normal transition period each new season with its shifting routines, activities, and sleep patterns. This year has been anything but normal and we’ve all had more than our fair share of big transitions! Below I share some autumn essential oil blends, aromatherapy tips, and recipes to help keep you centered and grounded so you can enjoy your autumn to the full!

DIY Aromatherapy Tips & Autumn Essential Oil Blends for School and Work from Home

If you, or your child, is struggling to adjust to the challenges of working or doing school from home, e3’s Be Calmand Transition Blend, both have essential oils that gently soothe frazzled nerves to ease anxiety and nervous tension.

What if the problem is difficulty focusing on school or work? e3’s Concentrate is a perfect study/work partner for many. This essential oil blend helps to uplift your mood, clear the mind, and focus on the task at hand.

You may have other favorite autumn essential oil blends that help you recenter. How can you use the blend of your choice throughout the day?

1. Roll-On. Roll-ons are already safely diluted in fractionated coconut oil so that it is ready to use. Each person can choose their favorite blend and simply roll on wrists, chest, or pulse points.

2. Spritzer. These are great if you want to give new energy to your room. Decide on a blend everyone enjoys and spritz the air — it’s that easy!

3. Inhaler. This is basically your own portable aromatherapy diffuser. Deep breathing can help you shift into a better place. Use the blend of your choice and pull out your inhaler for a peaceful aromatherapy moment.

Autumn Essential Oils to Soothe Muscles

Now that we have cooler temperatures you might be spending more time outdoors. Whether that is exercising, raking leaves, or extra long walks enjoying autumn colors, you may experience muscle and joint aches. Essential oils such as Ginger, Black Pepper, and Juniperberry help to increase circulation, warm muscle tissue to ease aches, spasms, and stiff joints.

Add 20 drops of Massage Blend, Muscle Soothe or Joint Relief, and 10 drops of Ginger, Black Pepper, and Juniperberry* to 1 oz of all-natural lotion or carrier oil and massage the area in need.

What’s the difference between Juniper Berry or Juniperberry? Juniper Berry (distilled with berries only) is slightly drier and sharper. Juniperberry (distilled berries and twigs) has a sweeter and softer aroma.

Make your House Smell Like Autumn

Autumn Essential Oil Blends, Food Recipes & Tips (3)When the rains finally set in, you can keep the Autumn vibe going with essential oils that make your house smell lusciously like Fall. For example, you can take a “virtual” walk in the woods with e3’s Forest Blend. (We’re doing everything virtually now, right?)

Or you can play with the Scent Notes of Autumn Essential Oils and create your own blend. The aromas of fall are warming, spicy, resinous, and woody. Think pumpkin pies, turkey dressing, orange/clove closet pomanders, and fir wreaths. Try mixing and matching some of these essential oils to come up with your own Autumn Essential Oils Blends… Basil ct linalol, Bay Laurel, Cardamom, Carrot Seed, Cedarwood Atlas, Cedarwood U.S.A., Cinnamon, Clary Sage, Clove, Cypress, Fir Needle Balsam, Fir Needle Douglas, Ginger, Nutmeg, Orange Sweet, and Rosemary.

With the cooler temperatures, many of us enjoy cooking more. Strategically adding very small quantities of essential oils can add dimension to some of your favorite fall recipes and make your home smell heavenly in the process.
